Bird list at the lakes: Hooded Merganser, Killdeer, Red-winged Blackbirds, Green-winged Teal, American Wigeon, Redheadeds, scaups (need to verify), crows, mockingbirds, cardinals, sparrows, meadowlarks, Red-tailed hawks, Greater-yellowlegs, doves.

A kingfisher alighted a few feet away from me as the sun rose.

Throughout the early morning, Redheaded ducks, teals, mallards, moorhens, grebes, killdeer, herons, sparrows, cardinals, and hawks appeared at the pond.

Dallas Arboretum and Pumpkins
